About Me

Originally from Michigan, I now call Tri-Cities, Tennessee, home, where I live with my husband, Lonnie Lynn Salyer, a vinyl record collector and historian. We have two wonderful adult children—Barbara, a beauty entrepreneur in Nashville, and Cody, a Marine Corps veteran in Kingsport. Recently promoted to "Lotta," I cherish my grandson, Jadon, born November 4, 2021. Our family also includes Draven, our playful Blue and Tan Frenchie Stud, with plans to add a little brother soon!

• Published Author: I’ve authored two books—Startup Savvy: Strategies for Optimizing Small Business Survival and Success, and Superwoman Smarts: Activating Leadership and Substance.

• Adventurer at Heart: From skydiving at 13,000 feet to being a civilian passenger on a Blackhawk military helicopter, I thrive on daring experiences. At 50, I competed in my first bodybuilding competition, placing 3rd in Bikini Masters 45+ and 5th in True Novice.

• Ballroom Dancing Enthusiast: As a 2014 Dancing with the Tri-Cities Stars People's Choice Award winner, I helped raise over $100,000 for SteppenStone Youth Treatment Services.

• Electric Vehicle Advocate: I’ve embraced sustainable travel with my Ford Mustang Mach-E, “Kasper,” driving over 20,000 miles of electrifying adventures.
